Rubén Solórzano reviews the best moments of the latest edition of Peru Gaming Show

To begin, Rubén Solórzano general managing director of Peru Gaming Show (PGS) comments that “As we had anticipated and according to specialized critics, this edition of PGS has been the best presentation of PERU GAMING SHOW.  All participants, exhibitors, visitors, suppliers and operators were very happy with the show “The number of companies and brands that exhibited and the presence of the main leaders in the gaming world contributed to an excellent result.”

Regarding the participation of the public during the two-day show held on June 12 and 13, Solórzano explains that “The reception of the public was simply extraordinary; visitors were happy to find the latest news at the expo and expand their knowledge in the conferences and did not hesitate to pack the fairgrounds.  We are still calculating the numbers but the first information tells us that we had more than 8,000 visitors on both days and more than 80 exhibiting companies.  The conference had all 400 seats filled with 100 people standing at the back of the room.”

In what way has online gaming regulations influenced the organization of this edition?

Since the approval in July 2022 and the publication of the regulations in October 2023 of the Law on Remote Gaming and Remote Sports Betting, the eyes of all those looking for new markets have been focused on the Peruvian market. By existing Law and regulations, a fully regulated market has been created in this jurisdiction that guarantees the entry of new actors. This has attracted many companies that were not previously interested in unregulated markets but knew of the potential of the Peruvian market.  The results we had at the show are a sign of the industry's tremendous interest in entering the Latin American market.

What technological innovations and trends have stood out in this edition of the show?

The arrival of artificial intelligence and its implications in gaming businesses is a novelty that should be highlighted, likewise, the growth of membership as a potential vertical is another important case. The treatment of regulations in Peru on remote gaming were topics discussed at the conferences and had a great impact on attendees.  Important topics were also payment methods and regulations in other countries in the region.
